Hikvision panoramic cameras (PanoVu and fisheye)

Hikvision panoramic cameras use several lenses or a fisheye lens to cover 180 or 360 degrees from one mounting point. PanoVu models stitch multiple sensors into one image and some add a PTZ channel for close-up views.

What this range covers

  • 180-degree multi-lens panoramic cameras
  • 360-degree PanoVu cameras with or without a PTZ module
  • Fisheye cameras with de-warping
  • Dual-lens stitching bullet cameras

Typical applications

  • Car parks and plazas
  • Shopping-mall atriums and lobbies
  • Road junctions
  • Warehouse floors and loading bays

Key capabilities

  • Image stitching across several sensors into one view
  • One cable, one IP address and one licence for a multi-sensor unit (model dependent)
  • People density and AR functions with HikCentral on listed models
  • PTZ channel for detail on PanoVu PTZ models

Functions vary by model and firmware; see each model page.

Selection questions

  • Where can the camera be mounted to see the whole area?
  • Is an overview enough, or is close-up detail also needed?
  • How will the recorder or platform handle multi-channel streams?

Frequently asked questions

How is a panoramic camera different from a fisheye camera?

A fisheye uses one lens and software de-warping; a multi-lens panoramic camera stitches several sensors, which usually gives more detail at the edges.

What is PanoVu?

PanoVu is Hikvision's range of multi-sensor panoramic cameras, including models that add a PTZ camera under the panoramic head.

Does one panoramic camera use one recorder channel?

It depends on the model; some stitch into one stream and others output several channels. Check the datasheet of the exact model.
