TP-Link SFP modules, media converters and fibre accessories
TP-Link fibre products connect switches over distances that copper cable cannot reach. SFP and SFP+ modules plug into switch uplink ports, and media converters turn an electrical Ethernet port into a fibre link for a camera pole or a remote building.
What this range covers
- Gigabit and 10-gigabit SFP and SFP+ modules (TL-SM series)
- Single-mode and multi-mode modules for different distances
- Gigabit and fast-Ethernet media converters (MC series)
- Media converter chassis and power supplies
- Fibre patch leads and accessories
Typical applications
- Linking two buildings on one site
- Camera poles in car parks and perimeters
- Switch uplinks between floors
- Factories with electrical interference on copper runs
Key capabilities
- Modules matched to switch port speed and fibre type
- Distances from a few hundred metres to tens of kilometres by module class
- Media converters that accept SFP modules or carry a fixed fibre port
- Rack chassis to power several converters together
Functions vary by model and firmware; see each model page and the official datasheet.
Selection questions
- Is the fibre single-mode or multi-mode, and what connector is on the patch panel?
- What distance must the link cover?
- Which switch ports will take the modules, and at what speed?
Prepare an enquiry

Describe your requirementFrequently asked questions
What is the difference between SFP and SFP+?
SFP modules run at gigabit speed; SFP+ modules run at 10 gigabit. A switch port accepts the type it is rated for.
When do I need a media converter?
When a device has only a copper port but the cable run is fibre, for example a camera on a distant pole. A converter is placed at each end or an SFP port is used on the switch side.
Which fibre products does ISD list for TP-Link?
The model list links every TP-Link module, converter and fibre accessory with its own page on this site.
